AssuredPartners Announces New Agency President

ORLANDO, FL – January 20, 2023 – AssuredPartners is proud to announce that effective January 1^st, Kory Hitchens has been named Agency President of the AssuredPartners Newark, Delaware location, formerly known as BHI.  Kory has been with the agency since 2009 as an Insurance Advisor.  For the last six years, his primary focus has been overseeing the sales team and building custom insurance programs with specializing in construction, manufacturing, and wholesale operations.

Kory began his career as an intern supporting the sales team, which led into a full-time role as a personal lines & small business commercial lines insurance advisor.  It wasn’t long before he focused his attention on larger commercial lines opportunities. In 2017, Kory was promoted to Agency Sales Leader where he would manage the current sales team, develop new business growth strategies, recruit and hire sales personnel, while maintaining his own production goals and initiatives. Outside of leading the office, Kory enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle and their three children, Maverick, Mia, and Mackayla.

Outgoing Agency President and previous majority owner of BHI, John Boykin, remains a critical part of AssuredPartners’ growth strategy for the MidAtlantic region.  John has transitioned to the role of Executive Vice President and will focus his efforts on maintaining and growing his book of business, as well as assisting other producers within the region on more complex Property & Casualty accounts.

As Agency President, Kory will continue to report to Regional President, Brian Bair, who stated, “We are excited to have Kory take over the office that John built, and to lead our Delaware operations. His unique combination of leadership and sales expertise will no doubt propel the Newark office to new levels.”
